The problem
The data gap
Phthalates and bisphenols are used to manufacture food packaging, processing equipment, and storage containers. They can leach into the products inside. Companies are not required to test for them or disclose the results.
In 2023, the European Food Safety Authority lowered its safe exposure limit for BPA by 20,000xEFSA, 2023 based on new immune system evidence. Most similar chemicals remain poorly studied and loosely regulated.
This is not about alarm. It is about measurement. You cannot make informed decisions about the products your family consumes without independent data.

Questions
Each product is screened across two panels: a phthalate panel covering 18 phthalates, including DEHP, DBP, and BBP, and a bisphenol panel covering BPA, BPS, and BPF. Phthalate substitutes such as DEHT and DEHA are also reported when the laboratory panel includes them. These are plastic-derived chemicals known or suspected to be endocrine disruptors.
Single-sample testing can be misleading. PlasticList found that two samples of the same product differed in plastic-chemical levels by an average of 59% (relative percent difference). By sourcing three separate samples of each product, targeting different production lots, we show that variation instead of relying on one measurement.

Results represent point-in-time measurements. Manufacturing processes, ingredient sourcing, and supply chains can change. We are transparent about this limitation — our reports include order and test dates where recorded so results can be interpreted with appropriate context.
Reports are typically delivered 6 to 8 weeks after your order is confirmed. That covers product sourcing from retail, shipping to the laboratory, triplicate analysis across both chemical panels, data verification, and report preparation. Timing is not guaranteed, and we will tell you about any delays.
Each product requires three separately sourced samples tested across two chemical panels — that is six individual lab tests per product. The cost covers ISO-accredited laboratory analysis, anonymous product acquisition, sample preparation, shipping, data verification, and reporting. Multi-product packages reduce the per-product cost significantly.
Sales are final once product sourcing begins. If we are unable to source or complete testing on a product for any reason, you receive a full refund for that product. We will work with you to select a replacement product if preferred.
